The University Canteen is an integral part of the basic infrastructure of the university. Located in a separate building in close proximity of the Administrative as well as the Academic Buildings, the canteen caters, lunch and snacks at student- friendly rates to students and employees from 08:00 AM to 09:00 PM. The standard of food, hygiene and service are monitored closely by the Canteen Committee formed for this purpose. The Committee has representatives from all segments of university community- students, officers, teachers and members of the non-teaching staff. The Committee meets regularly and keeps a close vigil on the canteen to ensure that the standards are maintained. Food for seminars, Research Council meeting Kishan Mela and any other function/ meeting  are also provided by the canteen. Engagement of new service provider in the canteen through e-tender is in process.
